looking at the bathtub pic i think "tubgirl" but lol

i like baths but im a bit too lazy to have one very often. i have a bath maybe once or twice a month. but when i do, i then have too many things i want to include in the experience. i always have a book im enjoying so i want to read that, but then theres a podcast that would be perfect listening material, but also i just want to read news on my phone, but also chat with friends maybe. and a couple of other things. i know in theory there is such a thing as doing nothing, but it feels very distant and not very attractive. i know i cant just lay still in water very long. or maybe i could if i kept my mind busy, sure seems to work when im trying to catch sleep in the late night...   doctor is working this weekend so im all alone and well, its a perfect time for an afternoon bath.

filling  the tub. creating bubbles is easier with the shower head than taps - its all about water pressure i learned. not self evident in this country.

i miss aussie abbreviations. bogan, sav blanc, muso, bottle-o, bush, avo...  i feel like british are the opposite, very wordy.

today i started listening to The Nobody Zone podcast, it turns really interesting. but what surprised me is a lot of the events take place in Clapham Common. thats cool, cos Clapham this is not the most famous place. and it involves local homeless people, of which i know a few in the area and we chat and stuff. the podcast stuff takes mostly place 30+ years ago though, so different scene, different people. but i feel just slightly connected. anyway the story takes the listener to different places, i havent even finished it so i dont know - but i recommend.

Guardian: Brits want some drama from the political leaders. ive been thinking about this. and perhaps indeed it is so.  and Starmer is not the most interesting person, thats true. i dont agree with him on everything either. but boring for me is fine, i think he is on the right track. and to put in context, i think most enjoy the peace and quiet of Biden as the president and Trump off Twitter. i still dont know what i think about banning him for eternity though, like i honestly dont know. im as antitrump as can be, but thats not the point. social media, freedom of speech, inciting to a crime, hate speech... theres a lot of factors honestly. and i dont pretend to know the perfect balance. but so, back to the fact that i do enjoy the chill silence of US politics now. and i'd prefer the same here.

doctor bought this vegan ice cream. i was skeptical cos i tried some other brand before and was quite disappointed. this however... really surprised me. tasted like any other good ice cream.

tried one of my old mobile filter apps

i also started reading Maya Dusenbery's Doing Harm today. the book is about how medicine and science has failed women leaving them dismissed and sick. if i wasnt a raging feminist before (i was), well, now...  doctor will be thrilled im sure, hehe. im already grilling him on any biases, racial or sexist...i see this book taking things to a new level. but i think we will have good conversation too, he is interested.
