Golden
Whistler -
Pachycephala pectoralis
Resident in small
numbers. A small bird; male has black head and breast band, white throat,
golden nape and belly, with olive-green back; female is greyish brown
with buff underparts, juvenile is like female but with wing feathers
edged rufous.
Voice: Melodious
whi-whi-whi-whit, the last syllable like a whip-crack. Contact call
is a rising 'seep'.
