Dover is located on the Huon Highway in south Tasmania a distance of about 50km south-southwest from Hobart (show me). Dover has a population of around 490 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Dover is at an altitude of about 28m above sea level. Dover is one of the southernmost villages in Australia.

Dover is on the Dover Rivulet.
