In this visually striking short video, the Dutch filmmaker, photographer and artist Michiel de Boer casts his lens on scenic sunsets of the Netherlands in search of the visual phenomenon known as the ‘green flash’. As De Boer explains, this fleeting spectacle can only be seen under the right conditions, which just so happen to occur rather frequently over the ocean horizons of his home country. Featuring a compilation of ‘green flashes’ that De Boer has captured, the piece offers up some colourful sunset eye candy while providing a fascinating glimpse into the human experience of colour.
