It all started thanks to a journalist called Jia Tolentino, who last week published an article that took a deep dive into the kids fave and totally ripped it to shreds.

After labelling it little 'repressive' and saying the show had an 'authoritarian soul,' the world of Twitter couldn't resist taking a look for themselves and the result is nothing but sheer horror. Take a look below.

One episode in partiuclar titled The Sad Story Of Henry, has been the focus of many of the comments as it's storyline see's a train named Henry bricked into a tunnel as punishment for being scared on the rain.

According to the Internet, the chilling epsiode has an alarmingly dark and twisted mentality for a kids show.

The classic kids show began in October 1984 and is still airing currently to this date, so it's understandable that viewers are concerned.

One user even likened the train themed programme as 'worse than any horror movie.'
