This 1989 Honda NX650 is a dual-sport motorcycle that is powered by a 644cc single paired with a five-speed transmission and finished in blue-gray. Features include electronic ignition, an engine counterbalancer, a dual exhaust system, a Pro-Link rear end, a front disc brake, a 21″ front wheel, a two-up seat, and plastic bodywork. The bike was acquired by the seller in December 2020, reportedly from its second owner. This NX650 is offered at no reserve with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

No Reserve: 1989 Honda NX650

The NX650 was introduced in 1988 and sold in the US for only two years. The plastic bodywork on this example wears blue-gray metallic paint and includes a close-fit front fender, side covers, and an integrated bikini-style fairing. Additional equipment consists of a two-up seat, passenger pegs, street lighting, a rear luggage rack, and a black plastic rear fender that doubles as a license plate bracket.

Wire-spoke wheels measure 21″ front and 17″ rear, and wear older enduro-style tires. Suspension consists of a conventional 41mm leading-axle fork with 8.5″ of travel as well as a Pro-Link rear end with a monoshock providing 7.5″ of range. Braking is from a single disc with a stainless steel hose up front and a drum in the rear.

The aluminum handlebar features a center cross-brace, light and horn switches on the left, and start and run switches on the right. An instrument cluster mounted to the inner fairing includes a 115-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, and a five-digit mechanical odometer showing 16k miles, a handful of which have been ridden by the seller.

The air-cooled 644cc four-stroke single produced 36 horsepower when new and features a gear-driven counter-balancer, four valves, CDI electronic ignition, a Keihin constant-velocity carburetor, and a dual exhaust system. An oil change and valve adjustment are said to have been carried out under previous ownership in 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive chain.
