JDM 1997 Toyota Celica GT-Four

Sold for $23,000 on 11/20/22

This 1997 Toyota Celica GT-Four was imported to the US from Japan by the seller in July 2022, and it now shows 111k kilometers (~68k miles.) It is finished in white over a black interior and powered by a turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE inline-four and sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system with a viscous center coupling and a torque-sensing rear differential. The car features a trunk-mounted factory rear wing, hood vents, a unique front bumper cover with integrated fog lights, and side skirts, and additional equipment includes 17″ Advan wheels, anti-lock disc brakes, automatic climate control, an aftermarket turbo timer, a Sparco shift knob, and a Carrozzerria touchscreen stereo linked to Kenwood speakers. Work performed under current ownership included replacing left-front suspension components as well as flushing the coolant and changing the oil. This Celica GT-Four shows 111k kilometers (~68k miles) and is now offered with import documents and a clean West Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in white, and GT-Four appointments include a unique front bumper cover with integrated fog lights as well as side skirts, hood vents, and a trunk-mounted factory rear wing. The hood and front fenders were reportedly replaced under previous ownership, and the seller states that the finish is fading.

White-painted 17″ Advan RC wheels are wrapped in 215/45 Goodyear Eagle RVS tires. Sport ABS was introduced to the Celica in 1996, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with Celica-branded calipers. The front suspension features the Toyota “Superstrut” system, and the left-front camber control link and control arms were replaced under current ownership. Photos show curb marks on the wheels.

The right-hand-drive cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black cloth with patterned inserts. Features include automatic climate control, an aftermarket turbo timer, a Sparco shift knob, a passenger airbag, bolstered front bucket seats, power accessories, and a Carrozzerria touchscreen stereo linked to Kenwood speakers. The seller notes a repaired tear in the driver’s seat. Photos show a tear in the shift boot as well as visible wear on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat.

The three-spoke Momo steering wheel fronts a gauge cluster including a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, boost pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 111k kilometers (~68k miles), approximately 300 of which have been added by the seller.

The turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE inline-four was fitted with an APEXi air intake and blow-off valve under previous ownership. The seller states that the coolant was flushed and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
