Summary[edit]

Description

Like the 1932 Ford, the 1933 car was still available as the 4 cylinder Model C and also the Flathead V8 was now the Model 40. Built on the same platform, the two models shared body, chassis and trim. In 1933 the car got a longer wheelbase and new crossmember frame. The grille was revised, gaining a pointed forward slope at the bottom which resembled a shovel. The hood louvers curved forward. Again available in Standard or Deluxe. The Deluxe was all one colour, (standard, black fenders)chrome windshield frame, 2 horns, 2 tail lamps, cowl lights, pin striping, a better appointed interior (woodgrain and dome lights) Standard models were available in 2 or 4 door sedan, 3 and 5 window 2 door coupes, 2 door roadster, 2 door cabriolet, 4 door phaeton, 4 door wagon and the 2 door pickup. Deluxe in; 2 and 4 door sedan, 3 and 5 window 2 door coupes, roadster and phaeton. Also 2 door Victoria Coupe. The 33 Ford was not only built in the US but also in many countries including Australia. These days, the Roadster and Coupe are the most popular for building street rods making original cars quite rare

Engine; 50hp 201 cu in 4 cyl (Model C) or 75hp 221 cu in flathead V8 (Model 40)
