Summary[edit]

Description
English: Meikleour Beech Hedge The tallest hedge in the world, although it is really just a line of closely planted trees (!), it is over 30m at its highest point. It is believed to have been planted in 1745 by Jean Mercer of Meikleour and her husband Robert Murray Nairne, who was later killed at the Battle of Culloden.
