All my ankles turn to cankles (pic)

**To be sung to the tune of "All my exes live in Texas..."

All my ankles turn to cankles...

I wrote this new country song in honor of my new cankles! Wink Just started swelling at 39 weeks.  Guess I'm lucky to have made it this far.  The cankle pic is from last night, and the ankle pic is from this morning (thankfully!)  I'm staying off my feet today!

How are you all doing with swelling?

  • Mine look about the same. 38 weeks 4 days. Except I am in desperate need of a pedicure!!
  • Yep that's how mine look most of the time. :( I've had selling in the foot area for a long time. Some days better some works. Sometimes it looks more like life savers on my ankles b/c, the rest of the area doesn't swell as bad. Can't wait to see my feet like normal again.
  • Damn auto correct! Swelling not selling and worse not works _/.

  • Oh my gosh, before I even clicked on the post, I sang it to that song! Great minds think alikeWink

I'm sorry you've been getting cankles Frown boooo. Glad to hear that staying off your feet helps though!

  • Me too. It started last week @ 38 weeks. Oh the joys...
  • Ur lucky...my feet started swelling since 34 weeks and Im only 36 weeks. Still 4 more weeks.
  • Went for a pedicure today so my feet look like pretty pillows...nice and fluffy
  • That is hilarious! Mine are so bad my OB flinches and they've been this way since February! Still have 30 days to go, too! Thanks for sharing!
  • Yep, I'm 39 weeks, and this just started happening to me about 2 days ago.

  • My right foot was way worse than my left. I iced it 10 min on, 10 min off, 3 times then kept it elevated. Had the hubs rub it a little, rubbing up toward my knee. All that helped bring the swelling down a bit, but this was after like 3 hours of nursing it last night. Uggh.

So far today, only a little more swollen than my morning picture - barely noticeable. I'm going to take a walk this evening and see how bad it gets just from that. I don't want to have to stay off my feet!
