 Lunch Crews
We serve a hot lunch to an average of 200 guests from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. daily.  A different volunteer crew works each day of the week. Our regular volunteers arrive at 9 a.m., depending on the crew. Food Pickup
We occasionally need volunteers to pick up food at the Eastern Illinois Food Bank (daytime), various stores, restaurants, and dorms on campus (evenings). The food is brought to the soup kitchen where it is sorted, dated and put away. Volunteers can use their own transportation or the DBSK van. Food pickups occur almost daily, including weekends. If interested, please email dbskvolunteering@gmail.com.

Referral/Assistance Program (RAP) Office Volunteers
Volunteers staff the referral desk one day per week from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Respond to guest inquiries and distribute referral information cards.
