Commentary: A hippie demonstrator sprays a mace-like chemical at police officers during a bloody confrontation with UCLA students that left several injured and some two dozen arrested. The students refused to disperse when ordered by police, and the fighting began, Los Angeles.
Marks: On recto: typewritten title and date. On verso: manuscript title and date stamps.

Provenance: Purchased by the Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College from Edwynn Houk Gallery on June 25, 2022 with funds provided by Michael Mattis and Judy Hochberg.
