Palestinian lawmaker Huda Naeem has said that “the blood of activist Rachel Corrie will remain a curse haunting the Israeli occupation regime” describing her death as “a crime against humanity” and her memory as “always present in the Palestinian people’s history.”
MP Naeem a member of Hamas’s parliamentary Change and Reform Bloc warned that the international failure to condemn and punish Israeli war criminals would encourage them to commit more crimes calling for prosecuting them at international courts.
“Activist Corrie has embodied the highest meanings of humanity through the sacrifice she made to defend the Palestinian rights and our people will continue to remember her sacrifice and her struggle against the Zionist killing machine” the lawmaker underscored in remarks on the 18th anniversary of Corrie’s death.
On March 16 2003 23-year-old American pro-Palestine activist Rachel Corrie was crushed to death by an Israeli armored bulldozer as she tried to prevent it from destroying a Palestinian house in the Gaza Strip.
