Red Star Morning Glory Ipomoea Quamoclit Cardinalis Seeds

Packet of 15+ home grown seeds!

Really easy to grow plant with both beautiful flowers and leaves.
If you have a fence, hedge, wall, arch or a bit of a mess you want covered up, this is a great option.

Very old hybrid variety of plant first made way back in the early 18th century by an unknown gardener.

The thought is that they crossed the Ipomoea coccinea(Scarlet morning glory) with Ipomoea quamoclit(Cypress Vine) and this is the result.
Continuous breeding back to itself has resulted in a stable true breeding line(its babies look exactly like it) that looks awesome.

Normal potting mix is fine, a soak in warm not hot water for a few hours or over night can speed up germination, but for me it was only a couple weeks untreated.

Likes to climb, easy to train, looks great, grows easily, isn’t weedy, at least not for us, and is no considered a noxious weed in any state of Australia.

Just another beauty for the collection!

Grown by me and the Mrs organically, no chems, no nasties, no problems!!!
