AMEN WOOT!
How about people who play flight sims, they might be able to find some sort of use for such a high-falootin gadget…seriously though I just bought battlefield 2 and I’ve been thinking about picking one up so I can get better at the aircraft and helicopters, it’s pretty impossible to use them well with a mouse or the keyboard alone.
Yeah the Saiteks are not that great.
Grab a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro Joystick for BF2.
OR if you have the money get the best: It will cost you about $200+
Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar

If you play BF2 and fly one of these is a must.
Controlling the jets/helis with a keyboard is just stupid.

Woot must have my computer hacked.

I was looking at various websites at Joysticks, because I’ve been wanting to get one for a while. My brother also mentioned that his was crappy, and we both play BF2… so I’m roaming around online trying to see if there’s any deals flying around… I check the time and see that the new woot should be up, so I head over here, and what do I see? Joystick!

So, thanks for the great timing on that one woot, it’s as if you knew I was looking for one. :stuck_out_tongue:

Another user who just sees the item then posts without reading any of the other posts…

There are several other uses of a joystick in the earlier postings.

Would be true w00t if it was a BlueTooth stick. A bit much to ask for (for $24.99 + $5 shipping), I admit, but it would increase compatibility. Is there a standard joystick profile for bluetooth? Imagine using this with PS3 or Nintendo Revolution.

Picked on up last time it was on here. I have the same issue stated above. A little bit annoying, but I just pop the battery before starting to game just to be sure and its all good. Great stick otherwise, pretty sturdy, very precise, and very comfortable with all the 3 adjustments available. Makes lots of difference in flying in BF2 for me. Easily worth the price here.

No thanks but better than the Mariachis

Lets try again tonight!!!

another woot wannabe -

I reember this little guy. Decent pad, a bit shoddy at times, but not bad for the price.

I’m suprised it’s not sold out yet. Plenty of gamers here and this is about half the price anywhere else.

Oh well…

The only stick I have is between my legs, and you’re right, I do get the “joy, joy, joy, joy, down in my stick”

Come on, ‘woot’, give us like a Sound Blaster X-FI or a DFI LANPARTY mobo (nice wish)… hook it up, mang!

I got mine W00T!

Well my trusty thrustmaster is 8 years old and mostly dead so I’ll give this a try.

though this may be a dumb question, I will ask anyway.

Is this thing USB? I would assume it is, but its not mentioned (and yes I know its wireless, but I’m talking about the base station)

I’m sure it is.
Do some research.
Here is a review of it:

It’ll be a good replacement for my 1997 $200 Saitek X36 with throttle - the only problem is that the 42 lb setup has since become a load-bearing part of my gaming setup…

…With Woot and Justice for All!!!

You know, I thought about this Woot all day.

I STILL don’t want it

Bought two of these last time. They suck.

Battery lasts one day

i have the wired version, i like it.

I have few friends that use this joystick and love it. They have been trying to talk me into one of them but have fought them off to this point sticking with my trustie Logitech. But for $30.00 i must cave-in, bite the bullet and all those stupid sayings and order one.

Naaawww…

but if someone could come up with a keyboard / mouse setup for the ps2…
