Kathryn “ Kathy” Elaine Goodwin, 64 died Sunday, September 18, 2022 at University hospital in Columbia MO. Her daughter, husband and step daughter was there with her. Kathy was born October 11, 1957 in Springfield IL to James Davis and Pauline Rogers. Kathy loved the outdoors. She meet Richard when she was waitressing through mutual friends. They then married November 19, 1984. Kathy enjoyed deer hunting with her husband and spending time with family and friends. She was a very hard worker. She waitresses and was a CNA for many years. She battled a lot in her life but as long as her family and friends were there with her, her head was always held high. Even when she had to stop working when she found out about her brain aneurysm. She then had to have multiple surgeries. But she was a all around happy person. She was an amazing wife, mother, nana, grandma, friend and loved family. I know she’s looking down watching on us and smiling.
She was born in Springfield Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents James Davis and Pauline Rogers . Along with preceded siblings of Juanita Waltemath,Sharon Meeks, Bill Davis, Robert Davis, Beverly (Sue) Harlan and Marlene (Lynn) Jordan. She leaves behind survives her husband Richard Goodwin Sr, son Brian Lawson, daughter Sheena Goodwin Lunceford husband Tracy Lunceford, step daughter Anita Boling husband Fred Bowling and step son Richard (Rick) Goodwin Jr. wife Amber Goodwin. Surviving 4 brothers Gene, Chuck, Roger, Larry and 1 sister Alice. Also survived by her grandchildren Bentley,Novalee, Finley, John Walter (JW), April, Harley, Brandy, Madelyn and Henry. Along with great grandkids Autumn,Xavier, Lillie, Gage, Wyatt, Amelia, Bella, Novaellia and Jacksun.
