Honda has unveiled the new 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin series in Europe.
In addition to an improved engine with more torque, the Adventure Sport (AS) features a new front 19-inch wheel.

The upper cowl design was also changed.

The 2024 model year of the CRF1100L Africa Twin has been announced in Europe. The major change is that the front wheel on the Adventure Sport model has been reduced in diameter from 21 inches to 19 inches. The suspension stroke has also been reduced by 20 mm to achieve a lower weight. The new model is expected to be used for longer touring trips with more confidence.

Seat height has been reduced by 15 m from 850/870 mm (825 mm with low seat option) to 835/855 mm (795 mm with low seat option). In addition, the low seat is 30mm lower, improving leg room. For Japanese specifications, the current model is 810/830mm, but it will be interesting to see how far this will be lowered.

Other features include a new upper cowl with improved wind protection. As before, it is equipped with a screen that can be adjusted to five different heights. The seat also features 15mm-thick urethane foam cushions with an 8% larger area to reduce fatigue on long tours.

The engine compression ratio was increased from 10.1 to 10.5, and maximum torque was increased from 10.7 to 11.4 kg-m. The engine speed has been lowered from 6250 to 5500 rpm, making it easier to handle. The maximum output remains unchanged at 102 PS.
Two color variations are available in Europe: white and black.

CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT Domestic Specifications (2023) [HONDA] The front 21-inch wheels, protected since the CRF Africa Twin's debut in 2016, will be STD-only.

STD has tubeless wheels and tires and is also available in an electric suspension version.

The standard Africa Twin continues to use the front 21-inch wheels for off-road riding in the 2024 model year, but the front and rear have been changed to cross-spoke wheels and tubeless tires are installed. The upper cowl has also been subtly redesigned and features the same five-stage adjustable screen as the Adventure Sport.

In addition, an electronically controlled suspension (ES) version is newly available, with or without ES, with DCT, or with DCT+ES. As with the AS, the engine features an increased compression ratio, improved valve timing, and intake and exhaust modifications to increase maximum torque and lower RPM. The model change has been made to improve overall tourer performance.
