UNUSUAL BIKE or SUCH DESIGN?
Have you ever seen custom bicycles?
This autumn I began to make a project to create a custom bicycle. Many people do not even know about the existence of such bicycles, about the pros and cons of these bicycles. So I decided to write this article.
Little histiry
Among the custom-bikes are divided into three types:
-chopper
-cruiser
-lowride
They can be ordinary and electrical. The homeland of customization is the USA. Here at the end of the XIX century was the company Schwinn, founded by Ignace Schwinn. This company made a curved bicycle frame in the style of a cruiser. Many people call all custom bicycles is “Chopper bicycles”. Why? Because the style of these bicycles is very similar to a motorcycle.
You probably saw long and powerful motorcycles?
It’s called Chopper. A chopper is a type of custom motorcycle which emerged in California in the late 1950s. The chopper is perhaps the most extreme of all custom styles, often using radically modified steering angles and lengthened forks for a stretched — out appearance.
California children also wanted to look cool, like their older brothers. For this, on their bicycles, they installed a steering from a motorcycle and a long seat with a backrest. Such a bicycle was called is “Chopper”.
Why do people make it, why do they buy, why do they ride?
They are made individually for you, for your growth and according to your desire. Such appearance of the bicycle is not only styling.
- The low bicycle design makes it more stable and safer on the roads.
- Landing on a bicycle with a straight back, does not deteriorate posture
- Due to this structure, the center of gravity of the rider is displaced backward, and the bicycle becomes faster.
- A high rudder is above the mirrors of cars, and this gives great advantages when driving in traffic jams.
- Incline of handlebar reduces fluctuation its at high speeds.
- It has many speeds.
BUT not all chopper-bicycles are comfortable.
- Quite often it’s just a style.
- The bike is large. You can’t keep
a chopper-bicycle at home. - This bike is very heavy.
- A custom bike has a high price.
There are many comfortable and uncomfortable custom-bicycles. It all depends on your imagination, because the bike is made according to your order.
If you have never ridden a custom-bike, then I advise for the sake of interest to ride it. Especially if it’s an electric bike. This is very different from riding an ordinary bike and I think you will like it.
