ReMegos for the upcoming TRON sequel. Good idea, or GREAT idea?

I was just thinking that a property that has a great look is Tron, both old and new. Of course, we never got Tron Megos. So how cool would it be if that mistake was rectified by making them, and of course lightcycles as well, for the new movie?

Not unless they do the Lightcycles, too.

Wouldn't say the movie sucked, but I'll pass on the Mego figures

A big fan of the original and can't wait to see Jeff Bridges reprise his role in the new one. I think they would be a hit if made properly. Great idea!

I didn't like it either, actually, and I saw it in the theater. But I LOVED the design and all the CG. Some of the coolest stuff I'd ever seen. I was very disappointed in the toys and video games - they didn't come close to the stuff in the movie.

I think Tron figures could incorpotate some really cool design ideas, like glow in the dark accessories and prints on the costumes, maybe a sparkly fabric, and Light Cycles would be small enough vehicles to make in mego scale. Plus the buzz surrounding the new movie is huge already, considering the original movie was a bit of a dud. And, doesn't Mattel make Disney toys already?

This falls into a weird camp for me because I didn't care for the movie but loved the toys. I'd totally pick up retro figures if they were done kind of simplistically. Maybe I just have a thing for glow in the dark frisbees.

I'm afraid Im with Hardygirl and Toyroom on this one. Too much other stuff I'd rather have first.

I'd buy 'em. I liked the movie (I remember watching it on opening day. Yeah, I'm THAT old), and the Moebius costume designs are classics. Mego representations (MUST GLOW IN THE DARK) would rock.
