Arnold Schwarzenegger is revisiting his bodybuilding past.
Sources told Page Six that he’s working on a TV reboot of his cult 1977 documentary, “Pumping Iron,” which focused on his victory over Lou Ferrigno in the 1975 Mr. Olympia contest.
But it turns out that Schwarzenegger is actually in discussions to make a scripted TV series about “the ‘Pumping Iron’ era,” according to an insider.
It’s not clear exactly what part the Governator is expecting to play in the production, but sources tell us that the show’s already scouting locations — including at the famed Muscle Beach in Venice, Calif.
A rep for Schwarzenegger told us: “We don’t comment on ongoing negotiations.”
