Kristen Stewart sparkles in strapless gown at ‘Spencer’ premiere

Forget the royal treatment, this premiere look got the Kristen Stewart treatment.

Stewart, who plays Princess Diana in “Spencer,” put her own spin on a princess-worthy dress for the biopic’s premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday.

Her dark grey Chanel column dress was covered in sparkles, seemingly blending her typically edgier style with regal glam.

The “Twilight” star, 31, added some extra shine to the strapless, curve-hugging look with matching silver sandals.

She dressed down following the red carpet, rocking a crop top and blazer in addition to seemingly redder hair.

Her premiere look comes a month after the star rocked a super short Chanel romper while promoting the film at the Venice Film Festival in September.

It’s no surprise Stewart selected Chanel for both events, as she’s been an ambassador for the brand for eight years.

The late Lady Di also donned designs from Chanel regularly, although her love for the luxury label famously took a hit following her 1996 divorce from Prince Charles.

Aussie designer Jayson Brundson, who helped style Diana for her 1996 visit to the country, revealed in a 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Australia interview that the interlocking C’s of the brand’s logo reminded the royal of her ex-husband’s affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Her aversion to Chanel was only temporary, however, as she later sported styles from the label for events including Prince William’s confirmation in 1997.

Stewart, meanwhile, is constantly adding her own touches to the label’s looks, including pairing a pink tweed jacket with a lace bustier at the French fashion label’s Paris Fashion Week show last week.

But as for her outfits in the film, it seems the styles will follow closely with Lady Di’s real life looks. In March, Stewart was spotted filming in a casual jacket strikingly similar to one the late royal once wore.
