Snagit Review

PROS: Snagit is easy and quick screen capturing solution, it allows me to capture screen while showing drop-down menu. I used other tools similar to this one but they were extremely complicated and not as intuitive as Snagit when it comes to capturing. It allows me to use PRTScn key and I like that it leaves the drop-down menu active.

CONS: Sometimes the on screen button pops up when I try to move the mouse near it and it pops up when I don’t want it, but I have found a feature to hide it to the task bar so it shows up only when I click on the task bar icon.

PROS: First of all, I have to say that I’ve been using this software for more than 4 years. I cannot imagine doing my whole work without this tool. I am able to capture all the important screenshots so I can provide series of documentations for my clients. It has easy to use button “Print screen” that opens up the Snagit plugin and you can start capturing what is on your screen. You are able to edit the images, putting arrows, emphasis, magnify the image. This tool offers even video screen recording.

CONS: I cannot really say that I have some negative experience with Snagit, I just don’t like the price tag but this is only my opinion.

PROS: This software is basically a PrintScreen button packed with tons of muscles! Are you in need of trying to capture an image from the Google search toolbar or a pic you recently snapped in a presentation? Or wanted to show somebody how to do things step by step when you menu suddenly disappears after hitting the "print" button? Snagit is your ultimate answer! Its screen cap software lets you grab images on specific time delay or even customize that image before making use of it for your presentation!

CONS: There's really nothing much to hate with Snagit. Maybe it could use a functionality where it can snag several images simultaneously? Then have them stored in multiple keyboards? Other than that, it's an aweseom tool to have!

PROS: I like that I can easily re-size images, add effect and text images. Also, the interface is more intuitive than the Photoshop’s. To tell the truth, it doesn’t offer all the functionality like Photoshop but it allows us to perform advanced edits to the graphics and images. I’m using it for a years and I can’t imagine my work-day without it. This tool can be used by everyone even by those who do not possess some design skills.

CONS: I’d like to see options for creating transparent backgrounds so I can avoid using Photoshop.

PROS: There's a lot to like with this tool! It's robust and really easy to use. There are way too many good things to say about Snagit! I've been using this tool for years and it gets better for every new version released! I like its callouts, cut out options, and stamps!

CONS: At this point, nothing! There's nothing that I hate about this product. If they're capable of creating snapshots without having to to go back and forth from video to snapshots (and vice versa), that would be totally awesome! But then again, I can go on without it. For lightweight package, it's able to do plenty!

PROS: I'm constantly using Snagit daily for work. It's an indespensible software that I currently own. I've been a user of this product for more than a decade now. Snagit is insane (in a good way) in capturing screenshots with just about anything, be it in the form of Word docs, e-mail, chat, Jira tickets, and others. Its built-in editor not only marks your screenshot with boxes, numbers, texts, and highlights, but it does decent work in cropping and rezing images swiftly. Snagit didn't increase much in terms of pricing and it's well-worth the purchase.

CONS: I've failed to come up with anything negative about Snagit. It's one simple program that's capable of doing what it's supposed to. Smaller additions to its Editor would've been worth it. But then again, it's not made to be a full-time image editing app (which is not meant to be in the first place).

PROS: I use Snagit to capture segments, take screenshots and to edit them into clear graphic. I like that I can add some tools within the images like arrows, circles, highlights. With this tool I’m able to better explain a design element or to show important detail easily. As media production specialist it is extremely important to me to grab screen captures of demos and to implement it into the videos.

CONS: This tool is easy to use and it is user-friendly but capturing video with this tool can be boring from time to time, but I learned how to do this part better.

PROS: Snagit goes beyond just capturing pictures. It has options that improve or enhance any screenshot. The cost of its license is really worth it. Being able to utilize its image enhancement functionality lets you emphasize certain pieces of an image. It lets you manipulate an image in a number of ways. No feature like it can be seen in other free versions of any other software.

CONS: Its color properties won't translate RGB to HEX within the app itself. That means users will have to resort to a coverter app to successfully translate.

PROS: It provides useful features and I like that they constantly update the software. Thanks to the multi-capture settings I am able to capture everything I want. Its annotation features are easy to use and rich, I often use the editor tool for images.

CONS: I think it doesn’t support layers in the image editor, if this is the case I would lie to put the screenshots directly into the Photoshop so I can edit them better.

PROS: I've handled numerous screen capture tools in the past. So far, nothing has ever come close to Snagit. What I like about it is its flexbility. Once I get a screenshot, I can edit the pic, and include comments, arrows, and numbering. This is particularly helpful when breaking down a specific issue or whenever a presentation is being made.

CONS: It'd be nice to see a couple things improved. First off, its UI appears to be outdated. It'd be cool if they added a modern flair to it. I'd like to see them to do something about its video functionality. It may be capable of doing the basic stuff, but it'll work nicely if some advanced feature are added.

PROS: Snagit offers great set of tools, my favorite one is “arrow-feature”. I’m using this feature when the image is captured and to point out the specific area with sole colorful arrows. This tool is easy to use and it meets all your needs. Additionally, there is great integration with the Prtsc button on the keyboard, when you click on it the Snagit is activated and you can start with capturing videos, screens, images from one place.

CONS: Sometimes the tool doesn’t open and when it opens it can be stuck and I cannot close it. Also, I’d like to see an option to configure the countdown (enabling-disabling).

PROS: I like the power of its options, it allows me to capture scrolling pages from different software. I can easily capture screens and do from basic to most advanced editing. In addition, it allows you to capture even video. You can easily share images and some services. It provides great library of previous captures so you can go back to see old screen captures. You can easily find specific screenshot because the library is divided by source.

CONS: The scrolling pages capture can multiply the flowing parts of the interface and this can be included multiple times. Sometimes the editor feature is unresponsive but this is mostly because lot of edited content is visible.

PROS: There are lot of things I like about Snagit. First of all, I love how easily I can capture and edit screenshots. You can take screenshots immediately and edit and share them in the very moment. You are able to record videos and to share them. We no longer have to take screenshots and opening up into other app and saving the screenshot and find it somewhere among the folders so you can share it with others. Snagits avoids all these steps and it makes the whole process easier.

CONS: I love everything about Snagit.

PROS: It's able to take screenshots and can even record audio. Editing videos has never been this easy. Even first-time users will immediately get the hang of the features.I haven't had the chance to explore its advanced features. The icon is situated on the top edge of the screen. It'll only be available whenever I needed it.

CONS: All in all, it's software is simple to use. It's reliable in so many ways. There were a couple instances where I recorded a video and it resulted to a blank screen. I had a hard time resolving the issue. There wasn't any issue like it or a resolution online. All I did was restart my computer and it things went back to normal.

PROS: What I like best? It's ability to deliver as promised. It's so easy to use. The screen recording and capture is powerful, and can do a whole lot more. Snagit helps track of the content you've recorded and captured. Once the add-ons are successfully installed, the experience is a lot more enriching especially when linking with Google Drive, Evernote, YouTube, and etc... Its editor is really robust.

CONS: I don't like the notion of having to learn or revalling how to properly make a backup my "snags." Thing is, it lets me emphasize the importance of its backup once it's configured. Its backup isn't automated by default. The user will need to set it up. If you fail to save your content as separate files, and you forget to configure your backup, there's a good chance you'll lose your content permanently.

PROS: It's a simple program that's readily accessible. It's not something that requires several clicks just to get the app to launch. I highly recommend they do something to expand their tutorials so users will get an in-depth view of the product. I noticed there were certain functionalities and use cases that I wasn't even aware of. It'd be nice to see videos or some comprehensive explanantion of what's included on the next version release.

CONS: I feel the user interface needs some improvment. It looks really old. Or it could be an old software trying hard to go for a "futuristic" theme. It would seem like an 2005 version of Windows Media Player.

PROS: I frequently use Snagit and I never ran into any issues. I make use of it to add info on screen captures, resize pictures, capture data from webinars, make icon/logo changes, and grab short screen videos on fault scenarios. It's a handy software for a wide range of uses. Its side window is butter smooth and will pop out when you hover over it. I like how easy it is to have my previous multiple projects gathered at the bottom window.

CONS: The only small issue I faced was saving my videos. It's not entirely clear where they house the files. If I fail to copy the generated link immediately, I won't know where to retrieve it. And I'll have save it again. It's a teeny issue really.

PROS: It's great using Snagit since it's constantly around. The red button will always be on the desktop for easy access. I frequently make use of it to craft program demonstrations. I can quickly take a screenshot and showcase essential buttons or functionality via a box or an arrow. It's helpful in capturing content that are outside your monitor's frame.

CONS: Its functionality upgrade whenever a new version is released leaves something to be desired. I recently made an upgrade to 13 from 11. Version 11 didn't fully uninstall so it was impossible for version 13 to run. I was left dead in the water until I finally found a solution on my own to push the upgrade through.

PROS: With Snagit I’m able to select specific area and to capture it. I can capture various things like sound, images and even videos. I’m using it to capture webcam interviews so we can use this data when doing research. I like that all the captures are high-quality.

CONS: I don’t like that you can easily turn off the capture when trying to move around the box. Also, I had to change the setting and to turn on the sound in order to capture the video, it would be great if the sound could be default and obvious.

PROS: I simply love everything that Snagit is offering! Being able to take in and edit snapshots improved significantly since I started using it! I like how I can take a snapshot immediately and then sharing it directly to the person/people I'm sending it to. I also like the video recording feature and sharing them to others. If it's not for Snagit, I'd go back to taking a screenshot, open up another app, save the screenshot, and try finding a way to share it with other people.

CONS: To be honest, there's really nothing to hate about Snagit. I like its small menu situated at the side of the screen. I also like its shortcut and its wide range of edit options!
