This program was designed to develop the language skills of those students who are not yet ready to enroll in higher education programs.
In the classroom, students will address contemporary topics important to the globalized world, attend lectures, read, and complete assignments. Each lesson, over the course of four months allocated to one language level, focuses on reading, writing, listening, and speaking, which are complemented by academic literacy skills. For example, at all levels, students are required to give regular presentations to their classmates and teachers, demonstrating the knowledge gained.
Students' ability to learn independently develops in stages, with students being asked to complete more coursework on an autonomous basis as they progress through the program. For example, third-level students will spend 12 weeks honing their academic and language skills through classroom work, one-on-one tutoring, and self-directed study, culminating in a 1500-word essay and academic presentation on a topic of their choice.
Students intending to pursue a master's degree develop their academic language skills at the fourth level, equivalent to IELTS 6.5.
