The MOST GINORMOUS Australian Icon : The Road Train

At any given time driving through the Outback you can come across what by far is the biggest ( size wise ) Australian Icon : The Road Train.

A truck on "steroids" with up to 6 trailers the Road Train is the main and often the only way to deliver freights to the many isolated towns and villages inland; Aboriginal communities too heavily rely on them.

The huge amount of goods they can carry makes them indispensable for very remote areas, for months go by between deliveries.

Rumor has it the longest Road Train measures 53 metres ( 164 ft ) a length dwarfed by the current Guinness World Record obviously held by a truck driver from the land Down Under.
