Long-planned Bali peace park on ice unless landowner accepts ‘reasonable, commercially viable’ price

The stalled quest to establish a peace park on the site of the 2002 Bali bombings could be revived — but only if the Indonesian owner of the land revises his price to a figure that is “reasonable (and) commercially viable”.

After 19 years of working towards the goal, the Bali Peace Park Association gave up the long-held dream and rebadged to the Bali Memorial Association in February after the latest round of negotiations again broke down over price.
