Kim Jaejoong, a well-known figure in the entertainment industry, recently took to Instagram to address a serious issue – obsessive fans, also known as sasaengs. The term "sasaeng" is a Korean slang word formed by combining "private" and "life." Sasaengs reportedly engage in actions such as stalking, buying or selling private information about idols, and harassing them and their families.

Jaejoong, who has been in the industry for two decades, shared his experiences of enduring sasaeng incidents during his time with TVXQ. The group faced various violations, including stalking, trespassing, theft, and being chased. In his recent Instagram stories, Jaejoong exposed sasaengs who constantly follow him, using taxi services specifically designed to assist them in their extreme behaviors. These taxis surround city blocks, communicate with each other, and profit from sasaengs wanting to follow idols.
Jaejoong, frustrated with the situation, explained, "They make a profit off harassing me emotionally and wasting my time. It’s as if you all have a professional manual for how to do this." He even warned of legal action against the sasaeng taxi drivers, collecting black box footage as evidence. Expressing his disgust, Jaejoong shared a video of one taxi driver, emphasizing that such behaviors are not indicative of true fans. He hopes that his juniors in the industry never have to go through similar experiences.
In a final plea, Jaejoong shared business cards from sasaeng taxi services that target international fans with promises of seeing their favorite stars in real life. He criticized these drivers, stating, "This is exactly why you sasaeng taxi drivers are worse than the sasaengs who ride them."
Jaejoong urged for an end to these troubling behaviors, emphasizing that it's time for him to be free from the constant harassment after two decades in the industry.
