Most superhero movies would have been done with casting news long ago, but Warner Bros’ Suicide Squad just continues to expand with news that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Oz, Thor: The Dark World) will be playing Killer Croc in the film. Akinnuoye-Agbaje certainly knows how to project some serious menace, so he should bring something interesting to Croc.

Newcomer Karen Fukuhara has also been cast in a minor role. Warner Bros. hasn’t come out and said who she’ll be playing specifically, but word is that it will be Plastique. The character is similar to Marvel’s Gambit, in that she can make things explode by touching them. Typically she’s been an enemy of Firestorm, although she had a stint as part of the Suicide Squad.

For those who haven’t been keeping up, Suicide Squad also stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo) and Jared Leto (The Joker).

One other minor tidbit: It’s been confirmed that Suicide Squad will take place before the events of Batman v Superman, even though it will hit theaters afterwards. Leave it to DC to cook up a confusing timeline for their new cinematic universe right from the get-go.
