Chehaw park is offering up forty unique eggs to help wildlife affected by wildfires in Australia.

40 emu eggs collected from the park's Australian Grassland exhibit are up for sale at $15 apiece.

Chehaw's emus laid over 200 eggs last laying season. Zookeepers pull the eggs before the chicks develop so they are able to use them throughout the park.

Other zoo animals are given them to eat for a bit of variety in their diet.

Park officials say that they can served fried, boiled, or raw, with or without shell. The eggs are useful for craft projects, such as jewelry making, etching, or painting

All funds raised will go to WIRES, an Australian wildlife rescue organization.

If you're interested in purchasing an egg, you can stop by the ticket booth between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information, call (229)430-5275.
