ABC journalist Emma Alberici has had emergency surgery to save her fingers after a scary mishap in the kitchen.
Alberici took to Twitter this morning to thank her surgical team at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, in Sydney’s east.
The ABC’s chief economics correspondent explained she had been attempting to clean her stick blender when the accident happened.
The Tweet was accompanied by photos of Alberici with a heavily-bandaged hand and her arm in a sling.
