A young boy in New South Wales has spent the night in hospital after being struck by lightning yesterday.

He's in a stable condition but it was only the fast action of life guards performing CPR that keep him alive.

It's thought around ten people a year die from lightning strikes in Australia, and experts say when a thunderstorm's around - it's worth getting out of harm's way.
