Australian scientists have had a breakthrough in the treatment of people with severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Researchers from the University of Queensland's Queensland Brain Institute have trialled the use of deep brain stimulation implants in a small number of patients with remarkable results.
The implants are already commonly used in Parkinson's patients.
Dr Philip Mosley lead the study and he explained how the implants work to ABC NewsRadio's Ali Crew.
