London: Virtue & Co., 1873. First edition. Fair. Approx. 13'' by 10'', 4to, half leather with marbled boards. Binding worn, front board partially detached. Viii + 380pp illustrated with 28 engravings, 8 plates of sculptures & other illustrations throughout text. Numerous artists work including Horsley, Pinwell, Ward, Herdman, Turner, Leslie, Bellini etc. The articles cover subjects such as architecture, design, furniture, costume, sculture, portraits, landscapes, classical, individual artists & movements etc. Generally the inner book is in good condition, with a little foxing, grubbiness etc. comensurate with age. Ex reference library with a pictorial bookplate on front pastedown, occasional stamps and sticker on spine. **Over 1kg & may require extra overseas postage**. Seller Inventory # 673
