As diehard fans of Reddit’s r/Popping subreddit, we’ve seen it all: From years-old pimples being extracted (so gross), to inches-long ingrown hairs getting yanked out (so satisfying). At least, we thought we'd seen it all — until we stumbled upon a video of a dentist removing his own impacted wisdom tooth. If you’re squeamish, now would be a good time to look away — otherwise, get ready for the ultimate extraction video to ever live on the Internet.

The video, posted yesterday on the guilty-pleasure r/Popping subreddit, shows Russian dentist Dr. Yakhyaev removing his own impacted wisdom tooth in hyper-speed. After injecting his gums with a numbing solution and packing his mouth with gauze, the young doc uses a pair of dental tweezers to gently tease the tooth loose from the gums and tug it out — all in one piece. Following the removal, he spits out the bloody, intact molar (because, of course, he does), and the gory video starts again.

Though not a true "popping" video, Yakhyaev's wisdom tooth self-extraction quickly caught the attention of Reddit’s popaholics, racking up more than 8,300 "upvotes" and nearly 400 comments in less than 24 hours (plus, more than 11,000 likes on Instagram). Most of the commenters expressed shock at Yakhyaev's ability to remove his own wisdom tooth (again, in one piece!) especially since the procedure is notoriously brutal ("it's extremely impressive, yet my teeth want to retract," one commenter wrote).

While Yakhyaev's wisdom tooth extraction appeared relatively painless and seemed to be a success, it should be noted that you in no way shape or form should this ever (and we mean ever) be replicated. Tooth extractions should be left to the pros, a.k.a. trained oral surgeons.

Aside from the obvious risks (like, for instance, excessive pain), Manhattan-based prosthodontist Mazen Natour, warns that wisdom tooth extractions can cause a host of complications — all of which are more likely at the hands of an inexperienced dental surgeon. Speaking to Allure, Natour explains, "[Tooth] extraction is generally easy for a professional, but for a non-professional, no one should attempt this...You can bleed a lot, you can cut yourself, [you could] break the tooth, [or] get an infection...This video is sending the absolute wrong message"

If the thought of a potential oral infection doesn't scare you enough, know that improper wisdom tooth removal can cause irreversible facial paralysis. Seriously.

So, while this video is certainly entertaining in a sick, twisted kind of way, please heed Dr. Natour's warning and do not try this at home. Or anywhere, for that matter.
