⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MIND Diet made simple
As a healthy cooking enthusiast, I chose this cookbook to learn more about the MIND diet, which I've heard much about lately. The MIND diet promotes the consumption of certain foods while discouraging others in order to help prevent or at least delay cognitive decline. This book explains how it combines features of different diets (DASH, Mediterranean) to promote healthy eating habits, and I can confirm that it is possible to follow it without too much difficulty, even for those who are not very familiar with cooking.

I loved the Mind Diet Cookbook because the recipees are easy to follow, the ingredients easy to find, and because it makes sense to follow this diet. As with everything else in life it can be difficult to get started, but the author has solved this with a 3 week plan to start up with.

Better editing needed. Apart from that, there are some great recipes in this book. The layout of the book is very good. Half of the book explains what the diet is about, and then it gives numbers of recipes, which are very simple and easy to make.

I am enjoying trying the recipes. I have found a few errors that need to be corrected such as listing the same ingredients twice in a recipe. But the thing the book needs the most is an index. The table of contents is not very helpful but an index would be wonderful!!

I like this book because the recipes are practical. I have to say though that I wonder if the author's common language is English and the book has been translated by an electronic translator because some things just don't make sense. For instance: "offer on top of added sliced bananas and walnuts". I believe it means that one can garnish with bananas and walnuts. Also, on more than one occasion: ...both apples, oranges, and bananas. Or: ...both muscles, bones, and tissues. Some folks might be upset that they've paid for a book with such poor editing. If you can get over the editing, it's definitely a book worth getting.

EDIT: I've changed my mind. On really getting into the recipes, there are just too many errors. don't buy this book! In one recipe, it calls for a cup of nutmeg. In no recipe does one want to use a cup of nutmeg. some of the recipes are just too hard to figure out.

I wonder if this was written by a non-English speaking person? Some of the recipe instructions are written in a very unclear manner.

If i could give this no stars i would, the worst quality printing i have ever experienced. I've read up extensively on the MIND diet and this seems like a bit of cutting and pasting of other peoples work. Very disappointing. Oh and all the measurements are US so not helpful for UK / EU.
