I opened the box and went to assemble the cannon for the first time. the locking pin to hold the firing assembly together broke immediately. I didn't even get it together and the pin popped out with little pressure. I think it may have been a fault in the manufacturing of the cannon.

Firecrackers are not legal in California so I had to make my own. The cannon works beautifully. I bought gun powder and desk top cannon fuses on line. Glued the end of a paper straw, let it set. Filled about 1/2 inch with powder and glued the other end closed. Let it set. Drill a hole into the straw and inserted a fuse.

I got this as a gift for my son. The handle that locks the firework/gun powder in place broke off on the 3rd it was fired. Its not fun playing with a broken toy. It would be best used as a paper weight or desk décor. I would NOT recommend if you actually want to fire the cannon. :( two thumbs down
