Had this exact Variator on my old Yamaha C3 and it delivered a noticeable improvement: a bit quicker low end acceleration, and about 5-6 mph higher top speed. Do yourself a favor and get the Dr. Pulley Sliders! Without those you won't get the most out of this Polini Variator. Maybe you'll get an extra 3-4mph without them, but you won't get 5-6. Oh, get a decent exhaust too! I chose an NR magic eco series model after watching a YouTuber have good results and it worked great for me too. Without the exhaust I still had better acceleration and a higher top speed but the consistency of the increase from stop to top, especially going uphill, wasnt as strong or smooth. About the Variator: put the 3 plastic guides into the 3 semicircular gaps in the top section of the variator. MAKE SURE that they go in with the raised lip of the guide on the under side of the Variator cap. Otherwise you won't be able to close the two pieces of the variator together.
