These Are the Cars of the Future, According to Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, and More
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is America’s premier classic car show. Held in the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, California, every August, this exclusive event focuses on the display of gorgeous six-, seven-, and eight-figure vintage vehicles from the first three quarters of the 20th century. Because of this, it attracts a core audience of wealthy car lovers and collectors, as well as a broad selection of the automotive press.
So it is no surprise—especially given the ongoing decline of the standard auto show—that it has also become a very prominent location for high-end automakers to unveil their latest concept and production cars. This year’s concours showed a significant expansion of this effort, with dozens of new vehicles making their premiere during the expanding multiverse of automotive events surrounding the concours, loosely known as Monterey Car Week. We checked out all of the premieres to bring you this comprehensive list.

Honda’s upscale sibling revealed this handsome SUV concept, which is intended to presage the brand’s design language as it moves into its next all-electric phase. This idiom includes a smooth shape inspired by classic Italian speedboats, as well as advanced driver-assistance technology.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Q division—which creates limited-edition vehicles for top clients—Aston Martin showed this coach-built open car influenced by its winning 1950s race cars. Also on hand was a production-ready version of its menacing Vantage V12, now in convertible form.

Looking toward our electrified—and, perhaps one day, our self-driving—automotive future, the four-ring brand has, over the past few years, previewed a trio of concepts: an urban runabout, a luxury sedan, and a lifestyle convertible grand tourer. All three were gathered together this year for the first time.

Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house coachbuilder, has been outfitting fancy conveyances (including carriages) since the 18th century. Its latest creation is this grand touring coupe. Sneering, lavish, and prodigious, it also showcases the ultra-luxury marque’s styling as it moves toward a fully electric lineup in 2030.

BMW’s Competition Sports Lightweight (CSL) cars are track-ready with weight removed and power added. This latest version of the brand’s M4 sports coupe adheres to that recipe, with output increased to a rousing 543 hp and weight lowered by nearly 250 pounds. Only a thousand of these cars will be offered, starting at $140,895.

Making a topless version of the outrageous Chiron hypercar isn’t as simple as removing the roof. For the $5-million Mistral, Bugatti designers created an entirely original vehicle, front to back. We’re especially fond of the wraparound windshield, the stubby rear end, and the wild X-shaped taillights.

We’ve told you about the Cadillac Celestiq—an all-electric, six-figure, and flagship sedan concept from General Motors’ premier division. But this was the first time we had a chance to see it in person, and, shockingly, it has even more presence up close. The production version should be unveiled later this year.

Czinger could be just another fantastical seven-figure hypercar-maker, rolling out evanescent concepts. But its uniqueness is in its manufacturing process: The cars are 3D printed. These two fresh hybrid models are a version of the 21C, optimized for top speed, and a four-seat grand touring vehicle.

The DeLorean was a mediocre ’80s car suffused in a stainless steel and the hubris of its creator, John DeLorean. Its reputation was only saved by the Back to the Future franchise, and even the stars of those movies found it lacking. This new model revives that nameplate with a slick shape and electric propulsion.

Gordon Murray rose to fame designing race cars before bringing his engineering insights to supercars with the benchmark McLaren F1 of the 1990s. His new venture makes sophisticated, highly engaging, limited edition, and seven-figure supercars like the T33 and T50, both of which already sold out their hundred-unit runs.

If there is any further proof needed that speed will no longer be the sole province of high-end carmakers with electrification, this is it. Stylish and affordable automaker Kia has revealed a 576 hp, battery-powered, and all-wheel drive hatchback that can out-accelerate a Lamborghini Huracan Evo or a Ferrari Roma.

Sweden’s only hypercar manufacturer has been in existence for just 20 years, but it is already re-examining its heritage. This new car is actually a reimagining of the brand’s first model, the CC8S from 2002, but optimized in every way with new tech and materials and a manual transmission for even more speed.

Italy’s most extroverted automaker seemed duty-bound to apply its typical “Go faster” mojo to its entry-level model, the Urus SUV, and now it has. With upgrades to its power output, handling and braking, exterior styling, and interior fitments, it should be able to best new rivals.

However, this elegant and muscular concept provides a decent hint at what a high-performance and battery-powered Lexus sports coupe may look like. The Range Rover is already among our very favorite luxury SUVs. The SV is the ultimate iteration of this land yacht. And now the brand has unveiled this limited edition of 17 caramel-colored Carmel Editions, with 23-inch wheels, blue leather seats, and an unfathomable $340,000 price.

To celebrate its centennial, Ford’s luxury marque unveiled this battery-powered concept. Inspired by advanced and self-driving vehicles and also paying homage to its first luxury car, the 1922 Model L, this low, train car-sized, glass-roofed, and suicide-doored coupe also envisions the brand’s future in electric vehicles.

California-based electric car start-up Lucid already hosts one of the quickest accelerating and longest-range battery-powered cars on the market: the six-figure Air luxury sedan. Now, the brand has enhanced every performance aspect of that car, upgrading components to yield below 2 seconds in a jump from 0-60 mph runs with a 200 mph top speed.

Maserati revived some of its sporting mojo last year with the introduction of its handsome and innovative MC20 two-seat supercar. But everyone knows that Italian sports cars must have a proper top-down option. So this new sky-colored convertible fulfills that requirement, and it will be available in gas, hybrid, and electric versions.

Mercedes’s showed many compelling concepts and production vehicles including some created in partnership with the late Virgil Abloh. This ultra-luxury SUV—the first all-electric model from Benz’s recherche sub-brand—wowed us with its pinstriped grille, monster disc wheels, and lavish interior.

British boutique supercar-maker McLaren made its name with race cars, so this limited-edition model—only 25 will be made, and all are already spoken for—is something of a return to form. This jet-canopied single-seater, with a howling V-10 engine and 200+ mph top speed, is so extreme it can only be driven on a track.

Bruce Meyers honed his skills finessing fiberglass in the post-WWII shipyards of California, and then he applied what he learned to create lightweight bodies for hotted-up VW Beetles, marketing the first cheap dune buggy kits. This rugged all-electric Manx revives that concept for our battery-powered age.

Volvo’s upscale, tech-centered, and electric sub-brand showed a convertible concept recently. Now, the swift Swedes have confirmed that this so-called O2 has moved from the theoretical to the actual. In 2026, this chiseled roadster will join the forthcoming Polestar 3, 4 SUVs, and Polestar 5 sedan to become the Polestar 6.

The RS nameplate is affixed to Porsche’s most radical and track-focused vehicles. So if you couldn’t tell from its assortment of strakes, vents, and wings, or the raucous noise of its roaring engine, those letters would be your giveaway. The livery on this one celebrates the 50th anniversary of the RS name.

Croatia’s only home-grown carmaker unveiled the first production versions of its seven-figure, all-electric, acceleration-dominating, and all-wheel drive hypercar: this 1914 hp beast. Rimac’s technology is so compelling that pinnacle carmaker Bugatti chose to merge with the company to assure its own electric future.

A Rolls-Royce shouldn’t change much from one generation to the next, lest owners who recently shelled out $600,000 for theirs feel they’ve been one-upped. So if you can’t discern the difference between this one and the last one, you’re excused (its mainly grille, headlights, and taillights).

Singer reimagines vintage Porsches. Using modern components, the company—named for owner Rob Dickinson, lead singer of ’90s alternative band The Catherine Wheel—upgrades every part, inside and out. This is Singer’s first convertible model, styled like a classic ’80s Porsche 911 Turbo.
