Quartz was the only other color I considered, and I think it looks great. In the end I couldn't pass up the awesome look of black, maintenance be damned.

But Quartz is a great choice.

Quartz always looks like silver to me, I just wish it was a little darker, like meteor but without the color changing.

Quartz is my favorite Audi color - had it on my last '06 A4. The color changes dramatically depending on time of day, clear vs. cloudy skies, etc. Some days it looks like deep silver, others a medium metallic gray and when the sky is clear it can look like a metallic blue. Very classy - the only Audi color I feel goes really well with the dark wood inlays. Yummy!!
Not as dark as other grays though

yeah i like daytona gray better (darker gray), but i'm not going to spend over $2k to get it.
