Alfa Romeo recently announced that its Brera Italia Independent model will go on sale in Germany with a price tag of 29,700 euro for the cheapest model. The range will be limited to 900 units and will be only addressed to markets in Europe, Japan and Australia.
The cheapest model is the 2.2-liter four-cylinder JTS that develops 185 horsepower, while the top-of-the-range configuration is the 3.2-liter V6 that generates 260 horsepower and is priced at 38,850 euro. The latter is available with either front- or all-wheel drive setup.
The limited series Brera was designed with the help of the local fashion house Italia Independent and obviously comprises several styling upgrades brought by these designers. For example, the interior has been upgraded with black leather upholstery, carbon fiber trim as well as with Italia Independent badges, pedals and foot rests.
At the exterior, the car is painted in Titanium opaque but also boasts 18-inch alloy wheels and brake calipers finished in red.
In default form, the Brera is offered with a choice of three engines, one diesel and two gasoline. The top-of-the-range configuration is the 3.2-liter V6 configuration that releases 260 horsepower and 322 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Translate this into performance figures and you get a top speed of 240 km/h plus a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.8 seconds. As for fuel consumption, the Alfa Romeo Brera achieves 13.9 mpg (16.9 L/100Km) city and 28 mpg (8.4 L/100Km) highway, according to official data.
