- A: AnswerYa that's what wanted too. So this unit self empties in vacuum mode. To mop I have to remove the debris catcher from the vacuum and attach a separate mop unit. Then it mops and collects the dirty water. When it's done I remove the mop attachment and empty it manually and reinstall the vacuum piece. But think about a mess you will have in the base unit if it automatically sucks up the dirty water and puts it in on the vacuumed up debris in the bin. Good luck!

Great vacuum and mop!
I have 3 dogs and a cat so all the hair all over my floors and I also have an infant who is in the beginning stages of crawling so I need my floors clean. The vacuum does a great job, even getting the corners which our old robot vacuum did not do and I’d have to go behind and get those. The vacuum itself seems to have decent suction for a robot although we have hardwood floors and 2 thin rugs so I can’t say how it’d do with carpet. I also love the mopping feature, it’s so nice to be able to have one machine that will do both and get both the dog’s hair and muddy foot prints.
