I want one. It's perfect introduction to recumbent cycling for my other half. I am willing to put up with the saddle for that experience.

Mmm I wonder if there is a market for carbon fibre thongs with cleats.

Wouldn't it! I find it tough enough steering the trolley in an actual supermarket, what with the wheels that don't turn properly.. and there's always one that's gummed up with some identifiable goo!KenGS wrote:Steering would be interesting

You know, if you could find a way to mount cranks on the new Sturmey-Archer S3X hub, you could actually get a geared unicycle! I have also seen someone do an adaptation of a unicycle into a (rather small) penny-farthing somewhere.il padrone wrote:

btw I saw a penny farthing in a museum in Florence that had something like a 70" wheel! It achieved this with linkage rods extending down to what would normally be the pedals so you didn't need a 70 inseam. Zero rake and trail so even after mounting it, no mean feat itself, it would be a devil to ride.

The more reasonable variant on this wasthe Kangaroo Dwarf SafetyColinOldnCranky wrote:I saw a penny farthing in a museum in Florence that had something like a 70" wheel! Geared chain drive to the big front wheel, keeping it smaller than the ~60" of a regular Penny Farthing, but still achieving the higher gear. Safer to ride and mount/dismount.

Zero Emmission Machines, 4-seater
When it comes to unicycling this guy is crazy!! Especially with the bridge-railing ride at the end
Much cred for his stunning skills though.
