All the Details on J.Lo's Bombshell Waves From the 2024 Golden Globes

Jennifer Lopez was ready to shine at the 2024 Golden Globes. The This is Me... Now singer, actor and JLo Beauty founder made a glamorous appearance on the red carpet in truly timeless Old Hollywood bombshell waves created by her go-to stylist, the one and only Chris Appleton.

Lopez's caramel blonde hair was parted deeply to one side, Veronica Lake-style, and worn in loose, voluminous, undulating curls reminiscent of those peekaboo styles worn by starlets of the '40s and '50s. Lopez paired the style with a strapless baby pink gown with a sweetheart neckline and enormous pink rosette sleeves, proving that the rose trend isn't going anywhere for 2024.

Appleton used Tangle Teezer products to bring the triple-threat star's look to life, styling it straight at the crown with all the volume and curl concentrated at the ends. The very front portion of Lopez's hair was given a little "oomph" at the root for a slightly retro Marilyn Monroe vibe right near her face; the rest was gently tucked behind one ear and worn down her back.

Appleton gave Byrdie the exclusive details on the star's look, telling us that the inspiration for the look was "soft, classic glamour."

"I prepped with Color Wow Extra Strength Dream Coat ($32) and Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer ($26) and spread through the hair using Tangle Teezer Ultimate Detangler ($16) which has patented two-tiered teeth that gently detangles while causing less breakage and draws the treatment through the hair," says Appelton. "I then blow dried using the Shark SpeedStyle ($199)."

Next, he added Color Wow Style on Steroids Texturizing Spray ($28) for texture before brushing the curls out. "To finish off the look, I back combed the curls for extra volume using the Tangle Teezer Ultimate Teaser ($14). To achieve this, I gently back-comb the mid-sections of the hair towards the root creating volume without ratting and matting."

The star wore matching pink tones on her face, with a delicate wash of a shimmery rose on her eyes and a similar color on her lips, plus that signature J. Lo glow. On her nails, manicurist Eri Ishizhu created a shimmering French tip.

Lopez's hair is always red carpet ready, even when she's not attending a glam awards show. Appleton has been by her side for some of the biggest days of her life, including her 2022 Las Vegas wedding to husband Ben Affleck. (He's also Kim Kardashian's mane man.) Her 2024 Golden Globes look, however, is the definition of Hollywood glamour as only Lopez can do it.
