Best look yet at 2025 Kia Tasman ute

Unofficial renders produced in wake of latest spy pics show how Kia’s vital ute is shaping up

Just days after spy pics of the 2025 Kia Tasman revealed key details of the all-important new mid-size ute, unofficial digital renderings have surfaced that put the elements together and provide our best look yet at the Korean brand’s crucial Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux fighter.

Clearly influenced by the new-generation Toyota Tacoma, the graphic designers at Kolesa have used the latest intel from Korea to produce a tough-looking truck that’s sure to make its presence felt on Australian roads when the Tasman launches by mid-2025.

Most utes in this segment draw inspiration from American pick-ups and off-road SUVs, and it’s a similar story with the rendered Tasman, which flaunts bold body contouring, squared-off wheel-arches and a butch front fascia.

That said, the Tasman will offer some unique design elements, such as vertically-stacked headlights in keeping with other Kia model lines – as seen on the Kia EV9 electric SUV, for example – and the brand’s signature ‘tiger nose’ grille.

The renders also draw from the EV9 for the rear-end styling.

As carsales has reported, Kia Australia will launch the Tasman with double-cab, single-cab and cab-chassis body styles, plus 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains with manual and automatic transmissions – all combined with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
