12x18 watercolour paper (I think), inks and watercolours

Marvel Knights had a huge impact on making me a comics lifer and I lugged a Daredevil omnibus to ECCC 2023 so I could have David Mack sign it. I saw he had a sketch list open and asked him if he'd be cool with drawing Daredevil for the eighty billionth time (he was). He also flipped through the omnibus and talked about how he achieved some of the effects he used in the Wake Up storyline, namely through a lot of setting paper on fire haha. Brian Michael Bendis is apparently the lucky guy who has a number of the originals from that initial storyline in his DD run.

When I went back to his table to pick up my "sketch", he handed me this! I was blown away by how pretty this is. The colours are wonderful and I love how David interprets Matt's sensory perception as kind of a halo (it's symbolism!!). He was really nice to talk to and it was cool hearing some of the stories about making comics in an era that really helped define current day Marvel.
