1920 brochure Michel Fokine & Vera Fokina, Carnegie Music Hall, Pittsburgh, with portion of large placard

Pittsburgh: 1920. Brochure measures 11 x 8.5" folded, gatefold brochure with 6 panels, very good, light soil. Advertising a performance by the great Russian dancer Michel Fokine and his wife at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh. Together with portions of a large placard on heavy stock, with text advertising the same performance but with what were probably photos of Fokine & Fokina neatly cut out from either side; this was from the collection of Karl Heinrich, a ballet master and teacher in Pittsburgh who probably had some involvement in bringing Fokine to Pittsburgh and may have had a hand in the layout of the placard -- that's what we think is going on here. Too bad the placard is not complete! Good. Item #H33304
