Yes, Garry Trudeau, who has out a new collection, Yuge!: 30 Years of Doonesbury on Trump, originally modeled his character “Uncle Duke” after the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson.  That is not in dispute.

But Duke’s business, for the past decade or so, has been as consultant to despots, including "An odious, high-ranking official from Berzerkistan."

So it seems that, not only did Trudeau predict Trump’s run for President some 30 years ago, but he also depicted Paul Manafort, and did so years before any of us knew his name!
