Fifty Shades of contour! Marcia Gay Harden, 58, gets a VERY glamorous makeover from her 14-year-old son, as she admits he is as talented as the pros who get her red carpet-ready

Marcia Gay Harden let her son give her an on-camera makeover for his YouTube channel this month — and the 14-year-old is giving her makeup artists a run for their money.

The 58-year-old actress proudly sat in as model and guinea pig for her teen son, Hudson Scheel, who just launched his own beauty YouTube channel.

In the tutorial, Hudson takes Marcia's bare face and does it up with red carpet glamour, piling on the products and explaining his technique for followers.

'My boy done glammed me UP!' Marcia wrote on Instagram last week, promoting the video. 'Was in the garden all day, glam at night.'

'BUT I got a tan this summer.. so my normal foundation caught us by surprise — and he generously worked around it by bronzing me up! Note to self — bring darker foundation w me in the summer!

Hudson introduces the video with infectious glee, telling viewers how excited he is for the tutorial because it's with his mom.

Marcia reveals that she was in the yard with a weed-wacker earlier in the day when Hudson brought her in for the makeover, getting her red carpet-ready.

The video cuts to Marcia with a makeup-free face, sitting and in close-up while her son gets started.

He explains that he is beginning with the eyes and the eyebrows before moving onto the foundation — which appears to be a new way of doing things for Marcia, who asks why he is going in that order.

'We're going to be using dark pigments, so if those fall onto your cheeks and mixes with the foundation, it's gonna look really bad,' he explains.

He fills in her brows, then primes her eyelids with concealer as a base, blending with a BeautyBlender.

Taking out a Kat Von D eyeshadow palette, he shows off his expertise by discussing the consistency of the powder before putting it on her lids

He also uses an UrbanDecay eyeliner along her lash line and expertly blends the different shadow shades.

Off-camera, a girl's voice can be heard during the clip, which may belong to Marcia's 14-year-old daughter Julitta. They chat, with Marcia admitting she 'fangirled' over Cher the time she hosted a function with the singer.

Hudson finishes up with liquid liner before moving on to face makeup. He explains that lash makeup with come last — because powder her uses on her forehead may end up stuck in mascara. 

He uses Benefit primer on her face, pointing out the product name to the camera — catching his mother's attention

'It's a whole different world. There was no Sephora when I was coming up,' she says, noting that she doesn't know the names of all the products she uses. 'You bought your stuff at, like, Rite-Aid.'

He adds Smashbox primer, Hourglass foundation, Tarte concealer, Calvin Klein bronzer, MAC powder, and powders from a NYX contour palette.

Piling on more products, he adds a Benefit blush, and Urban Decay lip pencil, false lashes, and finally, liquid lipstick.

Ever the pro, Marcia preens and poses to show off the final look.

'I love it,' she gushes with a proud smile. 'I'm really happy, you did a great job. All my makeup artists are gonna hate you!'

However, she can't help but get a little mothering in: When Hudson encourages viewers to subscribe, she chastises: 'But Hudson, when school starts, you're not going to be posting every other day.'

'I know,' he answers. 'I'll post every week.'

Speaking to Today Style, Marcia talked about encouraging her son to follow his dreams.

'As he’s pursuing his YouTube channel, I just encourage him to be true to himself and find his own voice. He’s funny, smart, inspiring and I think he’s part of the new generation of kids who lift each other up,' she said.

'I love that he’s teaching me things I never knew and that he tries both traditional and outside-the-box looks on himself,' she added.

'He takes it seriously while he’s having fun, and I think that’s a great combo!'
