A popular car on Australian roads has been recalled over safety concerns.
More than 5000 Mazda CX-60 and CX-90 cars made in 2024 have been recalled by Australia's Department of Transport over a manufacturing fault that could cause 'injury or death'.
The fault is a defect in the power-steering gear set.
'An unexpected increased effort in power steering whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users,' the department said.
The department said there are 5,257 cars of the specific models registered on Australian roads.

Mazda said they will contact vehicle owners who are affected by the recall.
It is understood the car manufacturer will complete mechanical work to fix the issue at official dealerships free of charge rather than issue refunds.
