'I'm very open to something': Kirsty Gallacher reveals she is back on the dating scene and looking for love - but insists dating apps are 'not for me'

Kirsty Gallacher has revealed she is back on the dating scene and 'very open' to finding love again.

The presenter and model, 47, split from former rugby player Paul Sampson in 2015, after 16 years together - five of which were spent married.

The pair share two children together - sons Oscar, 16 and Jude, 13.

But in a new interview with this week's Closer magazine, Kirsty admitted she's ready to find something serious again.

She said: 'I'm currently dating! I'm not with anyone in particular right now, but I'm very open to something. That would be really lovely.'

On how she would go about meeting her suitors, Kirsty was adamant it wouldn't be online.

She said: 'I'm not on dating apps. They're just not for me. I've had people say "Oh you're on Bumble or Raya". No, I'm not!

'Someone put a fake Kirsty account up on them. I thought that was illegal. It's definitely not me on there. I am single but I'm not on the apps - all is good.'

The star has been linked to plenty of public faces in the past, including footballer Rio Ferdinand and actor Tim Vincent.

It was after these two when she met and began dating ex-husband Paul in 1999.

Since her marriage ended, she was linked to another rugby star, Danny Cipriani in 2016, who reportedly broke up with the presenter due to their 12 year age difference.

During their suspected six-month romance, the pair had only been pictured together once, at the ATP World Tennis Finals in London.

A year later, she was linked to actor Laurence Fox.

The Sky Sports presenter was said to be in a secret relationship with Billie Piper's ex-husband for six months but the couple decided to 'call it quits' after growing tired of 'sneaking around'.

A source told The Sun at the time: 'They had fun while it lasted, but having to sneak around was a bit tiresome in the end.'

In 2018, it was claimed Kirsty 'had a romp' with comedian Jack Whitehall.

Most recently, Kirsty split from her boyfriend and ex-boxing champion Johnny Nelson.

The TV personality and the TV fight pundit, 56, went their separate ways after their romance fizzled out earlier this year, reports The Sun.

Much has changed for Kirsty recently, and at the end of 2021, she revealed she will 'step back' from her presenting role with GB News due to ill health and a cancer scare earlier this summer.

Kirsty, who co-presented The Great British Breakfast since July 2021 with Simon McCoy - told how a benign ear tumour has caused her 'severe tinnitus' and has left her unable to work.

In an emotional statement posted to her Instagram last month, Kirsty said the early 3am starts for her show 'compounded by sleep deprivation' had exacerbated her symptoms.

She penned: 'During the summer I discovered I have a tumour in the inner canal of my right ear. Thankfully, it's benign and not hugely detrimental to my normal life.

'However, the tumour has caused severe tinnitus which makes it very difficult to sleep.

'Sadly my 3am starts at GB News, compounded by sleep deprivation, are exacerbating my symptoms.

'I've taken the difficult decision to take a step back from my role on the Great British Breakfast while I focus on my health. GB News has been incredibly supportive of me and I look forward to returning to the channel as soon as I can.

'As I adjust to managing my condition, I will carry on with my less disruptive work commitments and continue maintaining a healthy lifestyle and training so I can get back to my normal routine quickly. Kirsty x'

Kirsty began her career at Sky Sports News in 1998 and hosted Kirsty's Home Videos, RI:SE and Simply the Best before returning to Sky Sports News from 2011–2018.
