The mother of Kugan Ananthan who suffered a "brutal death" in police custody filed a RM100 million civil suit for damages against the government and police today.

Indra Nallathamby, 43 named former Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar, police officer Navindran Vivekanandan and then-Subang Jaya police chief Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar (now deceased), as well as the then-inspector-general of police (IGP) and the government as defendants.
